Jing Kang Presents The Peodour Sitting

Jing Kang, the creator of the awarded work Sitting by Jing Kang illustrates, Peodour are ceramic cushions, made with a concave shape of butt on the surface through traditional handcrafted mold pressing, appeals people to have a sit on them. In ancient China, people tended to sit on the ground till the appearance of Hu Chuang for sitting, as invaders came. Till now people has been seated with legs down as cultures develop and people’s habits change, with higher furniture and buildings in use. Peodour are designed on the introspection of change in people's daily life, to call on people to seat themselves lower to rethink the relationship with surroundings..
